We’re hiring a Web Designer to be based in Cairo for our client – one of MENA’s leading retail brands. They’ll design engaging, user-friendly interfaces across web and app platforms, ensuring seamless customer experiences. They’ll support creative production, campaign design, and digital asset creation, collaborating closely with brand, marketing, and technical teams. By blending creativity with functionality, they’ll help drive online engagement, sales, and brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
Design
Design artwork, layouts, and templates with a focus on user accessibility and experience.
Implement HTML coding when necessary for features, pages, and banners.
Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand’s style or voice through its visual touchpoints.
Resize assets for different devices — tablet, mobile, and web.
Ensure website/app design complies with relevant legal and accessibility guidelines.
Produce visual content and layout design for website product pages, category pages, landing pages, emails, etc.
Build
Collaborate with front-end developers in creating HTML and CSS-friendly designs.
Document brand standards and style guides, building up a portfolio of high-quality templates that reflect the needs of each brand.
Launch campaigns/collections to agreed scheduled timelines and marketing calendars.
Brainstorm
Work with design, merchandising, and marketing teams to deliver creative, promotional, and brand requirements.
Attend briefings and creative reviews to brainstorm and provide feedback on business objectives and GUI considerations.
Expertise
Experience in designing multi-lingual websites, mobile sites, and mobile apps.
Understanding of common web design software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, and Figma.
Comprehensive knowledge of HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Collaboration & Workflow
Work closely with stakeholders across the business to maximize department performance and output.
Support both the Project Management and IT teams with new market rollouts.
Liaise with regional brand teams to prioritize design requirements to support brand strategy and timelines.
Align with the translation team to ensure product content is effectively delivered and available across relevant markets.
Key Skills
At least 2–3 years’ experience in web and mobile application visual design.
Ability to solve design challenges with creativity, efficiency, and precision.
Ability to consistently execute with excellence and continuously improve design skills.
Strong communication and organization skills; excellent multitasking ability.
Highly detail-oriented, flexible, and resilient.
Able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities effectively.
Ability to collaborate in team environments and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
Previous experience working with multiple design platforms.
Background in creative industries such as fashion, beauty, or advertising.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
